All music fanatics know that the best way to fully enjoy an artist’s music is through live performances. Attending a concert, music festival, or show is a special experience. Every artist and their fans have a way of celebrating live music, and Conan Gray is certainly no exception.

Conan Gray is a singer and songwriter whose lyrics reflect deep emotions and ever-changing relationships. Starting as a creator on YouTube during his teenage years, Gray quickly turned to making music, releasing his debut EP, Sunset Season, in 2018. After gaining popularity in 2020 for his song, “Heather,” he went on to write 3 more albums, embarking on multiple tours over the years.

Following the release of his fourth studio album, Wishbone, last summer, Gray announced the dates for The Wishbone Pajama Show, his sixth concert tour. He kicked off the tour on September 11, 2025, and ended on October 19 the same year. The tour, which had just 19 shows in only North American locations, was followed up with an announcement for the Wishbone World Tour, a longer concert tour with three legs in stadiums worldwide.

The setlist, similar to the one played during the Pajama Show, consists of four “acts” as well as an encore set. Every act follows a specific narrative, each with its own unique set designs and song choices to fit the vibe. Along with the ordered songs from his discography, Gray plays two surprise songs, one of his choice and one chosen by an audience member in a tradition known as the wishbone break. The tour also includes a set of songs played by the opening artist and special guest, Esha Tewari.

Between the opening set and Conan’s first appearance on stage, there is a short waiting period, and during that time, a QR code and a link are displayed on the big screen, which takes audience members to Gray’s official website to play a game of “How Well Do You Know My World?” This Conan Gray trivia game includes questions about previous tours, Gray’s personal life, and fandom inside jokes, which gives fans an interactive experience while waiting.

The concert officially begins with the song “bad idea right?” by Olivia Rodrigo playing on the speakers, and after the lyrics “I know I should stop,” there is an actual stop in the music, followed by Conan’s entrance to the stage on a bicycle. The first stage setup includes a windmill prop, fake grass, and a sunny grassland backdrop that morphs into a starry night sky. The unique wishbone-shaped catwalk allows Gray to get closer to the pit audience, adding to the comfortable vibes.

After the first few songs, including two fan favorites, “My World” and “Never Ending Song,” the second act began. With it came a new, dreamy setup, including a bed, clouds, and a pajama-inspired outfit change. This section features some of Gray’s more emotional songs, but also includes Conan’s Campfire, where he performs the acoustic version of a track rarely played onstage in a cozy campfire scene. The surprise song played at the March 18th show in Sacramento was “Overdrive,” one of Gray’s older songs, performed on guitar.

To kick off the third act, titled “I Took the Long Way to Realization,” Conan hides in a boat prop surrounded by plants and a lake backdrop, appearing to sing “Romeo” in an elaborate red shirt and black slacks. Following the upbeat start to the act, Conan performs “The Best,” an unreleased track from Wishbone Deluxe, which is set to release on April 24th. This act also contains the wishbone break, where Conan picks an audience member to break a wishbone with him to decide on a surprise song. “If I get the long end, I get to choose, if you get the long end… you get to choose,” announced Gray at the Sacramento show, referring to the two options displayed on the screen, “This Song” and “Sunset Tower.” The ultimate choice was up to the fan, who chose “This Song,” which marked the first time it had been picked on tour.

Another highlight from the third act is the performance of “Heather,” which is always sung with the addition of the “lost verse” during live performances. The fourth and final act is an iconic way to close off the concert, with Gray waking up in his bed prop and circling back to the original grassland set. Although the official end of the show arrives with the ending of “Vodka Cranberry” and its insane high note, Conan often returns for a final encore set, dressed in a sparkling marching band suit. After a brilliant performance, fans return home with confetti in their hair, sweaters or shirts from the merch stations, and memories to cherish for life.
